Business-continuity call tree

Make the communications section of the continuity plan executable

StrikeGrid turns a reviewed continuity contact route into a repeatable activation while preserving human ownership of the incident and continuity decisions.

Discuss your workflow

Start with the continuity objective

A call tree should connect an event to the people authorised to assess it, invoke plans and coordinate recovery. Avoid copying the organisation chart. Design around required roles, cover arrangements and the decisions that must be made.

Build, exercise, review

Create a small number of scenario-specific plans, verify contact methods and run exercises that include unavailable people. During an activation, StrikeGrid calls the configured tiers and records acknowledgement and progress. Afterward, the timeline can support a structured review.

  • Name a plan owner
  • Document activation authority
  • Define acknowledgement and escalation thresholds
  • Keep a separately accessible fallback copy
  • Review contacts after staff or supplier changes

Technology is one control

Business continuity depends on governance, people, facilities, suppliers and recovery procedures as well as communications. Automated calling can reduce manual coordination work, but it does not certify a continuity programme or guarantee an outcome.
